Cochin to Munnar

Touching down at Cochin's airport, railway station, or bus stand marks the beginning of the trip, where our travel executive will be waiting to take charge of the arrangements for the days ahead. From there, the drive climbs steadily toward Munnar, breaking along the way at Cheyyappara and Valara Waterfalls, with long stretches of tea plantations lining the road on either side. On reaching Munnar, check into your resort and spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 02

Munnar Sightseeing

128 Km, 3.5 Hrs

With breakfast done, the day is set aside entirely for Munnar, a hill town often called a paradise for couples. The trail takes you through the Flower Garden, Photo Point, and Honeybee Tree, followed by the still waters of Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Dam. Eravikulam National Park, home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr, forms the centrepiece of the day, rounded off with wide views from Anamudi Hills and a quiet stop at Blossom Park. Overnight stay continues at your Munnar resort.

Day 03

Munnar to Thekkady

110 Km, 3 Hrs

After breakfast, check out from your Munnar resort and drive on to Thekkady, also known as Periyar. Sightseeing here covers the Periyar Tiger Reserve and Periyar Lake, along with a boat ride across the lake and an optional jungle safari available at your own expense. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 04

Thekkady to Alleppey

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and head to Alleppey, famously known as the Venice of the East.Close to twenty one hours aboard a houseboat here is an experience in itself, a floating stay that drifts past paddy fields, quiet backwater villages, coconut groves, and the wide stretch of Vembanad Lake. Onboard with a welcome drink, followed by snacks, lunch, and dinner. Overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 05

Alleppey to Kovalam

Breakfast and check out from the houseboat mark the start of the day, after which the drive continues to Kovalam. Once you arrive, take the afternoon to settle in and rest, then step out as evening falls to take in the coastline at its best. The stretch here includes Hawah Beach, Lighthouse Beach, and Ashoka Beach. Overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 06

Kovalam Sightseeing

After breakfast, head out for a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, Kerala's capital city. Day 06 Starts with Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, Sree Chithra Art Gallery, and the Zoological Park (note that these monuments remain closed on Mondays), along with a visit to the Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Return to Kovalam afterward to enjoy the coastline once again at Hawah Beach, Lighthouse Beach, and Ashoka Beach. The day also takes in the towering Gangadhareswara statue of Lord Shiva at the Azhimala Temple in Vizhinjam, a fifty eight foot concrete sculpture set on a raised rock with a chamber below depicting the temple's history. Day 07

Kovalam to Cochin or Drop at Trivandrum

230 Km, 7 Hrs

For a Trivandrum drop, the same city sightseeing from the previous day can be repeated as needed. For those heading to Cochin, known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea, the drop sightseeing tour covers St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Palace, and the Jewish Synagogue, along with a relaxed walk and boat ride on Marine Drive. Our travel executive will see you off at the airport, railway station, or bus stand, sending you home with memories of a well spent holiday in God's Own Country.
